These terms govern your use of Errand, a personal assistant service that books appointments, reservations, and travel on your behalf. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read the sections on phone calls and bookings carefully — they describe things Errand does in your name.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so keep your login credentials secure and tell us promptly at support@errand.chat if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
Errand acts as your agent. When you ask it to, it will contact businesses, place telephone calls, send messages, make reservations, and complete bookings using the information and preferences in your account. Requests you make are treated as your authorization to act.
Bookings are made in your name and are real commitments to the business concerned. You are responsible for honoring them, for showing up, and for any cancellation, no-show, change, or late fee the business charges. Those businesses set their own terms, and their terms — not ours — govern your reservation.
By asking Errand to place a call, you authorize it to speak on your behalf and you confirm you have the right to have that call made. Recording laws vary — some jurisdictions require every party to consent. You are responsible for ensuring calls you request are lawful where you and the person being called are located. Do not use Errand to place calls that are harassing, deceptive, unsolicited marketing, or otherwise unlawful. If asked directly whether it is an AI, our assistant will say so.
Errand uses artificial intelligence, which can misunderstand instructions, mishear a phone conversation, or act on incomplete information. Availability, prices, and schedules come from third parties and can change or be wrong. We do not guarantee that a booking will succeed, that a price will hold, or that details captured from a call are correct.
Always review the confirmation we send you and check anything that matters — dates, times, names, prices, and travel documents — directly with the airline, hotel, or business.
Your account includes spending limits — a per-booking cap and a monthly cap — which you can change in Settings. Errand will not knowingly exceed them. Where a booking requires payment, you authorize us to charge the payment method you have saved for the amount of that booking. You are responsible for the charges made under your instructions.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor. Plans include a monthly allowance of bookings; usage beyond the allowance may be billed at the per-booking rate shown on your plan. Changing plans mid-cycle results in a prorated adjustment on your next invoice.
You can cancel at any time from Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we do not provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law. Fees paid to airlines, hotels, and other businesses are separate from subscription fees and are governed by those businesses' policies.
Flights, hotels, and similar travel are supplied by third-party providers and the operating airline or property. Errand facilitates the booking; it does not operate the flight or the property. Their fare rules, change fees, cancellation policies, and conditions of carriage apply. You are responsible for valid identification, passports, visas, and entry requirements.
Do not use Errand to:
- break the law, or help anyone else do so;
- harass, threaten, deceive, or impersonate anyone;
- place bulk, automated, or unsolicited marketing calls or messages;
- make bookings you do not intend to honor;
- interfere with the service, or attempt to access other users' data.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.
We work to keep Errand running, but it depends on third-party services — telephone carriers, calendar and travel providers, and AI models — and may be unavailable, delayed, or degraded. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Errand is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including missed flights or appointments, lost opportunities, or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Errand after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
