Privacy Policy
Last updated July 28, 2026

This policy explains what Errand collects, why, and who we share it with.Errand books things on your behalf, which means we handle information about you, your schedule, and sometimes the people you ask us to contact.

1. What we collect
  • Account — your email address and password credentials, handled by our authentication provider.
  • Preferences — the details you save so we can act without asking: your name, home city, home airport, traveler details including date of birth, dining and travel preferences, spending caps, and timezone.
  • Contacts — names, phone numbers, and labels you choose to save.
  • Conversations — your chat history with the assistant, so it remembers context.
  • Calls — recordings and transcripts of calls we place for you, and their outcomes.
  • Bookings — what was booked, when, where, confirmation references, and amounts.
  • Calendar — if you connect Google Calendar, availability and the events we create.
  • Payment — a token representing your saved card. We never receive or store your full card number.
2. Why we use it

To do what you asked: find availability, place calls, make bookings, add events to your calendar, send you receipts, apply your spending limits, and bill your subscription. We also use limited operational data to keep the service working and to investigate abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your conversations or call recordings for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We share only what a provider needs to do its job:

  • AI providers — to understand your requests and conduct calls.
  • Telephone and messaging carriers — to place calls and send texts.
  • Travel and booking providers — traveler details required to issue a booking.
  • The businesses you ask us to contact — typically your name and the booking details.
  • Google — if you connect your calendar.
  • Our payment processor — to take subscription and booking payments.
  • Email provider — to deliver your receipts.
  • Hosting and database providers — to run and store the service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

4. Call recordings

Calls we place on your behalf are recorded and transcribed. We use them to determine what was agreed, to report the result to you, and to improve reliability. Recording laws differ by jurisdiction; see our Terms for your responsibilities when asking us to place a call. You can request deletion of recordings associated with your account.

5. Information about other people

If you save a contact or ask us to call or text someone, you are sharing their information with us. Please only do so where you are entitled to, and expect that we will use it solely to carry out your request.

6. Retention

We keep your information while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards where we need it for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at support@errand.chat.

7. Your choices
  • Review and change your saved preferences and contacts in Settings at any time.
  • Disconnect Google Calendar in Settings, which revokes our access.
  • Remove a saved card in Settings.
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, including under Virginia's consumer data protection law. Contact us and we will honor them.

8. Security

Access is protected by authenticated accounts, data is isolated per user, and payment details are held by our payment processor rather than by us. No service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Children

Errand is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be notified to you directly.
